Thank-you Note from What The Food team

26 Dec

What The Food team would like to express our appreciation towards your presence on the What The Food party last Thursday.

We could see people attending the party talking to each other and enjoying the food made by the team and other lecturers.

We will remember this What The Food project, the party, and all the laughter from our lecturers.

Some staff was asking about the recipe of the Japanese cupcakes, please check it out and you will see that it is very simple to do.

Ingredients: (for 4 – 6 cupcakes)

75gr wheat flour

1 tps baking powder (about 5gr)

1 egg

30ml milk (you should take the cooking milk or if you could not find the cooking milk, make sure the milk you use has NO SUGAR)

30gr sugar

15ml cooking oil (use olive oil or butter instead if you are vegetarian)

Some cheese, corn and belly peppers.

Step 1: mix the flour with baking powder

Step 2: add sugar, milk, egg and melt chocolate (if you love chocolate smell) and mix all until you have a smooth liquid.

Step 3: divide into cups (with based paper under the cup so that you easily take the cakes out)

Step 4: steam the cupcakes in about 15 minutes. Check the cake by having the small stick poke the cupcake, if the stick is dry, then the cupcakes is ok)

Decorate for the dish and enjoy.

Thanks so much for a lovely afternoon/evening at the What the Food party. Brett and I really enjoyed the great food and company. We really appreciate all of the effort you went to for us … not to mention Tai’s amazing magic tricks! xx
